MIAMI – Stormwaters surged into downtown Miami on Sunday, as Hurricane Irma wreaked havoc up the Florida coast.
By noon on Sunday, water could be seen filling wheel wells of cars parked along Brickell Avenue – also known as US 1, the nation’s longest north-south roadway.
Local TV news outfits captured amazing footage of streets filling with fast-moving, white-capped water and creeping up steps of government and business buildings.
“Streets turning into rivers in the Brickell area,” tweeted WPLG.
