The IRS used such words as “progressive,” “Israel” and “occupy” on internal documents to help employees screen group applications for tax-exempt status, according to documents obtained by Bloomberg News.

The agency admitted last month that it homed in on Tea Party groups, small-government boosters and others on its “be-on-the-lookout” lists — the use of which was suspended yesterday by interim Commissioner Danny Werfel.
