Iraqi authorities have released images from the ISIS version of an armored corps — a ragtag, rusted collection of clanky vehicles resembling wasted “Mad Max” props.
But these armored-personnel carriers served as real killing machines for the jihadists, who used them for suicide attacks during the battle for Mosul, The Guardian reported.
The vehicles are being held at the federal police headquarters after they were confiscated during the recent battle to reclaim the city from the terror-mongers.
The extremists converted cars — including a KIA — into war machines by covering their exteriors with boxy sheets of metal, while leaving narrow slivers open for the drivers to see through, the photos show.
