Massive images of Israeli hostages were projected on the side of the United Nations headquarters in New York City Thursday in a desperate plea for the US to intervene in the ongoing war.

“Hama is ISIS,” the message — blared on the Murry Hill building — read.

The death toll now stands at 1,300 in Israel, including 14 Americans, and another 1,400 in Gaza. Roughly 150 are believed to be taken hostage, including Americans. Hamas is threatening to execute them.

Putin says civilian losses from Israeli ground operation in Gaza would be 'unacceptable'

By Reuters

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday said an Israeli ground operation in Gaza would result in a level of civilian casualties that would be "absolutely unacceptable".

Putin was speaking after Israel's military called for all civilians of Gaza City, more than 1 million people, to relocate south within 24 hours, as it amassed tanks ahead of an expected ground invasion in response to a devastating weekend attack by the militant group Hamas.

Putin said that using heavy weaponry in residential areas was "fraught with serious consequences for all sides."

"And most importantly, the civilian casualties will be absolutely unacceptable. Now the main thing is to stop the bloodshed," he said.

Israel drops thousands of fliers in Gaza urging citizens to 'leave immediately'

By Richard Pollina

Israel dropped thousands of leaflets in northern Gaza with an "urgent statement" for its civilian population to flee south "immediately."

Reuters live

"Urgent statement. To the residents of Gaza City, terrorist organizations have begun a war against the State of Israel, Gaza City has become a battlefield," the leaflet reads in Arabic.

"You must evacuate your homes immediately and go to the south of Wadi Gaza. You must not return to your homes until further notice from the Israeli Defense Forces. Public and known shelters in Gaza City must be evacuated."

Reuters live

"It is forbidden to approach the security wall, and anyone who approaches exposes himself to death. For your safety and the safety of your families, you must evacuate your homes immediately and head to the south of Wadi Gaza."

The fliers rained down just hours after the IDF announced that citizens of Gaza City must head South of the Gaza River within the next 24 hours.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Friday met with Jordanian King Abdullah in Amman, the second stop of his most extensive Middle East tour yet as Israel prepares for a sweeping ground offensive in Gaza, and he urged people in Gaza city to evacuate to the south.

His demand, which the United Nations said would be impossible to carry out "without devastating humanitarian consequences”, comes a day after Blinken visited Israel and held talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the conflict.

Israeli embassy staffer attacked in Beijing after Hamas calls for 'Day of Jihad': report

By Richard Pollina

An Israeli embassy staff member was attacked in Beijing on Friday, according to Israel’s Foreign Ministry.

The unidentified employee was transferred to a local hospital in stable condition.

The motive for the attack — which did not occur at the Israeli embassy — is being investigated, the ministry said.

China did not immediately acknowledge the assault.

The attack comes on the day that Hamas's former leader, Khaled Meshaal, called on all members of Islam to wage a “day of Jihad” and stage protests.

Meshaal called on Muslims to stage global demonstrations in support of Palestinians, urging the Islamic world to "head to the squares and streets of the Arab and Islamic world on Friday.”

Meshaal — who served as chief of Hamas from 2004 to 2017 — said “all scholars who teach jihad … to all who teach and learn, this is a moment for the application [of jihad].”

Earlier on Friday, Israel's foreign ministry expressed "deep disappointment" as China failed to condemn the Hamas terrorist group's attack.

The NYPD has already confirmed the weight of its full force will be on high alert Friday and stressed that police were bolstering their presence out of “an abundance of caution” and that there were no credible or specific threats to the city.

Mayor Eric Adams urged New Yorkers to remain vigilant as looming threats of possible violence strike fear in cities across the nation and the world.

“I want every New Yorker, especially Jewish New Yorkers and other groups to know there are currently no credible or specific threats against our city, but with large-scale protests planned for tomorrow, we must remain vigilant,” he said during a virtual briefing Thursday evening.

Hamas tells civilians not to flee and 'remain steadfast in your homes': report

By Richard Pollina

Hamas told civilians in the northern Gaza Strip to disregard Israel’s evacuation order after being given 24 hours to flee by the IDF on Friday morning, according to the Times of Israel.

The terrorist organization told the citizens around Gaza City to “remain steadfast in your homes and to stand firm in the face of this disgusting psychological war waged by the occupation,” according to a statement sent by Hamas’s authority for refugee affairs.

“The occupation is attempting to spread and circulate false propaganda through various means, aiming to create confusion among citizens and undermine the stability of our internal front,” the statement said, referring to Israel’s warning.

x/IDF

A statement on Hamas’s website calls Israel “delusional” for thinking Gazans will flee south, the outlet reported.

“Scenes of migration and displacement are a thing of the past and won’t be repeated, except with the victorious return of our people to our occupied land,” the terrorist group wrote.

The order to evacuate — being labeled a “humanitarian step” by the IDF to prevent further innocent civilians from being killed — wants all people in northern Gaza, including Gaza City, to move south of the Gaza River in less than 24 hours.

The United Nations estimated nearly half of Gaza’s entire population — roughly 1.1 million civilians — would need to evacuate as a result of the directive.

The UN warned the Israeli military after the directive that an evacuation of that size in the given time period would be “impossible,” given that Israel has closed off all of the Gaza Strip's borders.

Austin landed in Tel Aviv and will meet with senior government officials, including Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the US Department of Defense wrote in a statement.

"Our support for Israel is rock solid," Austin said on Thursday while in Brussels.

"We are working urgently to get Israel what it needs to defend itself, including munitions and Iron Dome interceptors. And we will do so even as we continue to support the people of Ukraine as they fight against Russian aggression.

He will also meet with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and members of the Israeli War Cabinet to "discuss Israel's operational planning and objectives and security assistance needs in response to the series of attacks launched early Saturday."

Austin's visit comes after days of close coordination between the US and Israel.

Israel 'deeply disappointed' over lack of China condemnation of Hamas attack

By Reuters

JERUSALEM - Israel's foreign ministry on Friday said it expressed "deep disappointment" in a call with the Chinese envoy to the Middle East over China's lack of condemnation of Hamas's weekend attack.

"The ambassador expressed Israel's deep disappointment with Chinese announcements and statements about the recent events in the south, where there was no clear and unequivocal condemnation of the terrible massacre committed by the terrorist organization Hamas against innocent civilians and the abduction of dozens of them to Gaza," the statement said.

Women tear down posters of children kidnapped by Hamas terrorists while one shouts ‘This is for Palestine’

By Richard Pollina

Two women were caught on video tearing down posters of children who had been kidnapped by Hamas terrorists during Saturday’s invasion of Israel.

Neta Fibeesh and her mother were putting up posters in north London of innocent missing people kidnapped in Israel — including those of children — when two women came up and began viciously tearing them off the walls, the Daily Mail reported.

Fibeesh, who filmed the encounter, watched as the heartless woman tore down the images of the hostages.

Off camera, an onlooker asked the woman, “Why don’t you do something for Palestine?”

“This is for Palestine,” one woman yelled as she continued to crumple the flyers of innocent civilians.

The 23-year-old British-Israeli citizen pleaded with them to be considerate of the “innocent people” who were ripped away from their lives and taken to Gaza by terrorists.

“How about the children in Palestine,” the enraged woman shouted at her as she continued to tear down the posters.

Fibeesh — a PhD student studying neurobiology at Tel Aviv University when the invasion by Hamas terrorists happened — caught one of the final flights out of Tel Aviv this week.

@Elad_Si / X

‘When we saw that tensions had escalated my parents managed to get me on a flight, pretty much the last flight going back to the UK,” she told the outlet.

She says that since returning, her Jewish friends have been “scared” to walk the streets of the UK since the war broke out.

“I know a lot of people who are scared about being Jewish now in the UK,” Fibeesh shared. "One of my friends is more religious than me, he wears a kippah and has been walking around for several days with a hat, and my dad saw someone wearing a kippah get sworn at.”

She was advised before putting up posters of kidnapped civilians to go with a group and had asked her parents to join her.

Deciding to start before they arrived, a man allegedly approached her and told her he didn’t “understand why you are doing this, this is karma, they brought this upon themselves.”

“I replied, ‘It’s children, it’s innocent civilians,’ and they said, ‘It’s karma for what their people are doing,” she said.

UN says over 400,000 people displaced in Gaza, appeals for $300M

By Reuters

GENEVA — The UN humanitarian office (OCHA) said early on Friday that more than 400,000 people had fled their homes in the Gaza Strip and 23 aid workers had been killed since the start of Israeli retaliatory strikes in response to a deadly Hamas incursion.

The agency launched an appeal for nearly $294 million to help some 1.3 million people in Gaza and the West Bank, of which nearly half was programmed for food aid as supplies run out.

"Mass displacement continues. In the Gaza Strip, the cumulative number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) increased by 25% over the past 24 hours, now exceeding 423,000, of whom over two-thirds are taking shelter in UNRWA schools," OCHA said, referring to the U.N. Palestinian refugee agency.

It said 23 aid workers had so far been killed since the weekend, including 11 health workers and 12 UNRWA employees.

IDF provides update on the war effort against Hamas terrorists

By Richard Pollina

Following the order by Israel to evacuate Gaza City in the next 24 hours, the Israeli Defense Force provided another daily update on the war against Hamas nearly a week after the conflict began.

“The situation during the night has been relatively quiet,” said IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Conricus on Friday morning. “Relative to the last six days.”

Conricus shared that rocket fire from Gaza continues into southern Israel and that there are still terrorists attempting to attack communities along the border.

“Most have them have been repelled, killed or taken into custody,” he said.

Conricus revealed the IDF’s “humanitarian step” to prevent the killing of further civilians in Gaza as the looming threat of a ground invasion is felt throughout the region.

He said that the IDF has sent out a warning message in Arabic to the local population in Gaza City to evacuate for “their safety.”

"We are asking them to evacuate so we will be able to continue to strike military targets belonging to Hamas in the Gaza Strip," Conricus said. "We understand that this will take time, it’s not an easy process, but we have issued this guidance, and the aim of the evacuation is simply to save lives.”

Israel’s northern front — which has had ongoing issues with terrorists in Hezbollah from Lebanon and issues on the Syrian border in the Golan Heights — is “relatively” stable as of Friday morning.

The IDF has “enhanced” the number of troops on its northern border and closely monitors activity that threatens the State.

“We are on high alert on the north,” Conricus said.

The IDF said it stands committed to taking away all of Hamas’s military might and they will continue their strikes on Hamas terrorists in Gaza until they are crushed.

“At the end of this war, our intention is that Hamas will no longer have any ability to strike or harm or kill Israeli citizens,” he said.

“We will deal a divisive blow to Hamas for the horrible, hence acts they have done.”
