The home of a Hamas battalion commander was demolished in a Wednesday-night airstrike, Israeli forces said — as Islamic militants from the Gaza Strip fired rockets toward Tel Aviv in ongoing hostilities between both sides.
Video posted to Twitter by the Israel Defense Forces shows the moment the home of Iyad Tayeb is destroyed by the airstrike, according to the Times of Israel.
The IDF said Tayeb’s home “served as part of the terror group’s infrastructure,” the outlet reported.
The destruction came amid another round of attacks between Israel and Gaza late Wednesday night into early Thursday.
In Israel, according to the IDF, a Hamas rocket landed in a civilian neighborhood in the city of Petah Tikva.
The strike caused “injuries and significant damage,” in the city, which is located about six miles east of Tel Aviv, the IDF tweeted.

The death toll in the ongoing conflict rose to 67 Palestinians, including 16 children and five women, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.
