Hamas has threatened to kill one hostage for every Israeli airstrike “targeting innocent civilians,” a spokesperson for the terrorist organization said Monday, two days into the devastating war on Israel.

At least nine Americans have been killed and others remain missing after Hamas launched its surprise attack on Israel, a National Security Council spokesman told CNN on Monday.

Israel is striking back against Hamas in the Gaza Strip after the terrorist group launched the worst attack on the Jewish nation in 50 years, in the early morning hours of Oct. 7.

An estimated 700 Israelis have been killed, more than 2,000 are wounded, and 150 are confirmed to have been taken captive by Hamas since the war began Saturday.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was quick to announce, “We are at war,” and vowed Hamas would pay “a price it has never known.”

The Gaza Health Ministry — which is controlled by Hamas — reported at least 3,000 Palestinians have been killed and more than 12,500 injured since the war began.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a teleconference meeting with senior government and military officials on Tuesday morning.

Included on the call were Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, the directors of the Israeli intelligence and security agency, and a number of high-ranking members in the Israeli Defence Forces, the prime minister's office said in a statement.

The Israel Defense Forces have notified 50 families whose loved ones are being held hostage by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, IDF spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a statement Tuesday.

More families will contacted after the military can verify further information, The Times of Israel reported.

The exact number of hostages being held by terrorists in Gaza is still unknown.

Hamas terrorists have claimed they took at least 130 hostages during Saturday’s bloody rampage in southern Israel, according to the outlet.

The United Nations Human Rights Council on Monday held a moment of silence in memory of the “innocent lives” lost in the “occupied Palestinian territory and elsewhere,” while failing to honor those who died in Israel when attacked by troops in Palestine.

Ambassador Zaman Mehdi, the deputy permanent representative of Pakistan to the UN in Geneva was seen in a post by the UN on X, formerly known as Twitter, speaking to members of the Human Rights Council just before a moment of silence.

Israeli police say they have frozen cryptocurrency accounts tied to Hamas

The Israeli police cyber unit revealed they have frozen cryptocurrency accounts used by Hamas to collect donations across social media since Saturday.

"According to the suspicion, with the outbreak of the war, Hamas launched an online fundraising campaign, asking the public to deposit the crypto-currencies into its account," the department announced on X, formally Twitter.

The cyber unit and the National Headquarters for Economic Warfare located and froze the accounts, with help from crypto exchange company Binance, "in order to withdraw the funds to the state treasury."

The cyber unit, Lahav 433, also worked with the UK police to freeze an account in Barclays Bank.

"The Cyber ​​Unit, in cooperation with the National Headquarters for Economic Combating Terrorism in the Ministry of Defense, the General Security Service, and other intelligence agencies, is leading an ongoing effort to locate financial infrastructures in crypto-currencies that are used by terrorist elements to finance their activities."

Israel regains full control of Gaza border fence, no infiltrations since Monday

Israel has regained full control of the Gaza border fence that was breached by Hamas terrorists during their weekend attack, according to Israel Defense Forces’ top spokesman, Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari.

Hagari told reporters early Tuesday that “not a single terrorist” from Gaza has crossed into Israel through the damaged portions of the barrier since Monday, according to The Times of Israel.

But the IDF warned that some Hamas fighters are still hiding out in Israel.

The Israeli military is reportedly planting mines at the sections of border fence that were blown up by Hamas on Saturday.

President Biden is expected to deliver remarks about the Hamas terrorist attacks on Israel amid mounting criticism that he was staying out of public view in the days since the ambush was launched.

IDF strikes over 200 targets in Gaza Strip overnight

The Israel Defense Forces say they have struck over 200 targets in the Gaza Strip overnight.

"Dozens of warplanes attacked over 200 targets throughout the Rimal neighborhood and Khan Yunis during the night," the Israeli Air Force wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

The targets hit included a weapon cache in a mosque, an apartment used by Hamas terrorists that stored anti-tank guided missile forces, and a high-rise tower used by the terror group.

The IDF is continuing their launch of "widespread" attacks in the strip, the branch announced earlier today as the conflict enters its fourth day.

Earlier today, the IDF announced the names of an additional 38 soldiers killed during the conflict with Hamas -- bringing the total of confirmed soldiers killed to 123.

Israeli airstrike kills two Palestinian journalists in Gaza

An Israeli airstrike launched on Gaza City claimed the lives of two Palestinian journalists early Tuesday.

Editor Saeed Al-Taweel and photographer Mohammed Sobih were both killed in the airstrike that struck an area where several media newsrooms are located, according to Palestinian news agency Wafa.

A third journalist, Hisham Al-Nawajha, was injured in the same airstrike which came as media headquarters were alerted to evacuate, Wafa reported.

On Saturday, three Palestinian journalists were shot dead while reporting on the violent conflict in the Gaza Strip.

The victims were Smart Media reporter Mohammad Jarghoun, Ain Media photographer Ibrahim Mohammad Lafi and freelance reporter Mohammad El-Salhi, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists.

Deputy Israeli commander killed in border battle near Lebanon

A deputy Israeli commander was killed in a battle with Palestinian fighters from the Islamic Jihad group near the country's northern border with Lebanon, according to authorities.

Deputy Commander Alim Abdallah was confirmed dead by Israeli military officials early Tuesday.

Militants from Hezbollah crossed into Israel following the Hamas attack on the Jewish nation and Israel shelled southern Lebanon in retaliation. Five members of Lebanon's militant group were killed, Hezbollah said.

Hezbollah, in return, shelled two Israeli army bases across the border. It's unclear if Abdallah was killed in one of those attacks as Israeli officials did not release the details of his death.

FBI says no 'specific and credible' threats against US after Hamas attack on Israel

The FBI made clear Monday there are no “specific and credible” threats against the US in the wake of Hamas' barbaric attack on Israel, but vowed it “will not hesitate” to make adjustments to protect Americans.

“We are closely monitoring the unfolding events and will share relevant information” with law enforcement agencies at every level, the FBI said in a social media post.

“We will not hesitate to adjust our security posture, as appropriate, to protect the American people,” the agency said.

FBI agents are also working with partners on the ground in Israel to help locate and identify any Americans victimized by Hamas terrorists.

“Reports of deceased, injured, or missing Americans are being treated with the utmost urgency and aggressively investigated,” the FBI said. 

US starts delivering munitions, military equipment to Israel in war against Hamas

The US is already sending shipments of munitions and military equipment to Israel to aid the Jewish state in its war against Hamas.

John Kirby, the National Security Council spokesperson, confirmed to the Associated Press Monday military aid is “making its way” to Israel.

“We fully expect there will be additional requests for security assistance for Israel as they continue to expend munitions in this fight,” Kirby said. “We will stay in lockstep with them, making sure that we’re filling their needs as best we can and as fast as we can.”

Israel’s war against Hamas began after armed terrorists killed, wounded and kidnapped Israelis in a sneak attack that began Saturday morning.

Ilhan Omar stokes outrage with plea against sending US weapons to back ‘war crime’ in Israel

Rep. Ilhan Omar elicited outrage Monday with a public entreaty for the US to shift from giving Israel “unconditional weapons sales and military aid” to diplomacy.

Omar (D-Minn.) — a member of the so-called “Squad” — also harped on the plight of the Palestinians and suggested that Israel’s retaliation against terrorist group Hamas might be a “war crime.”

“The Israeli Defense Minister has called Palestinians ‘human animals’ and promised to cut off all electricity, all food, and all fuel to civilians in Gaza,” Omar wrote in a lengthy threat on X, formerly Twitter.
