Four people were shot — two fatally — after a gunman walked into an Arizona bar and opened fire late Sunday, police said.

The suspected gunman was taken into custody after the shooting at Jammerz Bar in Globe at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, KNXV reports.

Investigators said the shooting appears to be a random act of violence rather than a targeted attack. More details are expected to be released during a press conference Monday afternoon, according to the station.

Two victims were airlifted to hospitals in Phoenix for treatment for life-threatening injuries. Their conditions were not immediately clear, but police had responded to the bar within one minute of the shooting, KSAZ reports.

Calls seeking additional comment from police in Globe — about 90 miles east of Phoenix — were not immediately returned.
