A network of health-related non-governmental organizations produced these superhero-esque cardboard cutouts of Obama, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and other leaders depicted as superheroes.

The animated art was spotted in Shima, Japan, ahead of a two-day conference, which kicks off Thursday.

Obama and the other world leaders are expected to discuss the lackluster state of the world economy.
