Jared Kushner’s real-estate company has reportedly been subpoenaed by federal prosecutors in connection with its use of a controversial program that allows investors to obtain immigration visas.
The subpoena, issued by New York federal prosecutors, concerns a commercial and residential tower in Jersey City that was financed in part by a scheme called the EB-5 immigrant investor program, The Wall Street Journal reported.
A spokesperson for Kushner Companies told the Journal it “utilized the program, fully complied with its rules and regulations and did nothing improper.”
The Brooklyn US Attorney’s Office declined to comment.
