Jayme Closs’ grandfather vowed to buy his granddaughter a “big steak” once the abducted teen was found – and now he’s made good on his promise.
A smiling Jayme was photographed in a heartwarming image posted to Facebook showing her and her grandfather enjoying the meal together over a dining room table at the grandfather’s home in Wisconsin.
The photo was shared to the Facebook group, “Light the way home for Jayme.”
“Were so blessed!!!” the photo was captioned. “We had to share!! grandpa said since day one he was gonna buy Jayme a big steak when she was found!! well here it is he bought her steak and they had lunch together at his house!!”
Jayme, 13, continues to recover after being kidnapped and held captive for 88 days after her parents were murdered in their Wisconsin home.
The teen, who was reported missing on Oct. 15, was found last month after she managed to break free from her suspected kidnapper, 21-year-old Jake Thomas Patterson.
Patterson was charged in the kidnapping of Jayme and the murders of her parents.
