Vice President JD Vance said Friday that the new footage of Renee Nicole Good’s deadly encounter with a federal agent makes clear the immigration officer’s “life was endangered” when he opened fire on her SUV.

“Watch this, as hard as it is,” Vance said on X.

“Many of you have been told this law enforcement officer wasn’t hit by a car, wasn’t being harassed, and murdered an innocent woman.

“The reality is that his life was endangered and he fired in self defense.”

The new video, recorded on the cell phone of ICE officer Jonathan Ross, shows Renee’s wife, Rebecca, mocking federal officers outside the couple’s SUV while Renee was in the driver’s seat with the window down.

As the situation escalates, an officer instructs Renee to exit the car – but the 37-year-old mother of three instead puts the car in motion as Rebecca tells her to drive away, according to the video.

Minnesota lawmakers, including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey, have decried Ross’ actions, while the Trump administration has argued Good “willfully” drove into him, forcing him to use deadly force.

“If you want to say this woman’s death is a tragedy, that we should pray for her soul as Christians and Americans, then I agree with you,” Vance also said in another post while noting the ICE agent should be safe on the job.

“I want our law enforcement officers to do their jobs and come home safely to their family,” he said.

“If you don’t like the immigration policy of the Trump administration, attack me. Leave our law enforcement alone.”

Other White House officials and Republican leaders also highlighted the revealing video — and the rush to politicize the incident.

Here’s the sequence behind the dramatic video taken by ICE agent moments before shooting Renee Nicole Good

“The media smeared an ICE Agent who properly defended himself from being run over by organized leftist protesters who were impeding an active law enforcement operation,” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.

“The reason trust in the media is at an all-time low is because they intentionally lie to the public to advance the Democrats’ narrative.”

House Rep Michael Lawler, a Republican who represents the Hudson Valley, called the shooting a “horrible tragedy” but insisted “too many people have sought to condemn the officer without all of the information and this video clearly contradicts the breathless coverage and condemnation from many on the left and in the media.”
