Depp denies headbutting Heard during argument, claims he was trying to restrain her

By Emily Crane

Johnny Depp has denied headbutting Amber Heard during an argument in 2015, which she claimed left her with a broken nose.

"I was trying to restrain Miss Heard," he testified. "Once I had restrained her, if she's trying to still move around or kick at me ... It's not impossible for them to bump. But a headbutt? That's pretty extreme."

"If you want to have a peaceful conversation with Miss Heard you might have to placate just a little bit," Depp testified.

Depp is quizzed on how he severed his finger

By Emily Crane

Amber Heard’s attorney quizzed Johnny Depp on how his fingertip came to be severed.

The actor has previously testified that he had to undergo surgery after his then-wife hurled a bottle of vodka at him during an argument in Australia in 2015.

Jurors were shown a message in which the actor allegedly admits to chopping off his own finger.

"I have chopped off my left middle finger as a reminder that I should never cut my finger off again!!" he wrote in an email to his doctor.

An audio recording was then played in which Heard's attorney claimed Depp said: "I chopped my finger off."

Depp, however, told the court he could hear himself saying: "I got my finger chopped off."

Heard has previously said Depp cut his finger during a three-day drug-fueled bender.
