A Georgia judge has denied bail for one of the three white men accused of killing black jogger Ahmaud Arbery — despite the suspect’s “uncontrollably high” blood pressure, according to a report.

Judge Timothy Walmsley ruled that William “Roddie” Bryan, 50, who is charged with murder in Arbery’s Feb. 23, 2020, shooting death in Brunswick, had his shot at bail, First Coast News reported Thursday.

The judge ruled that Bryan and two others charged in the case — Gregory McMichael and his son, Travis McMichael — were denied bond after an “uncommonly long and comprehensive” bail hearing in July, the outlet reported.

Bryan’s lawyer, Kevin Gough, filed the request for a new bail hearing earlier this month, claiming his client suffered from dangerously high blood pressure.

Gough said Bryan’s blood pressure was “in excess of 180/100,” well above the normal level of 120/80.

Prosecutors said Bryan jumped in his pickup truck and joined the McMichaels in trying to run down and corner the 25-year-old Arbery, claiming they believed he was a burglar.

Bryan, who shot mobile phone video of the incident, used his car to block Arbery before the jogger was stopped by the McMichaels and shot by Travis McMichael.

Bryan’s footage of the fatal encounter went viral, prompting state prosecutors to file murder charges after the case sat dormant for weeks in local jurisdictions.

All three men are being held without bail on murder charges.
