Second lady Karen Pence will be returning to teach at her private Virginia school next week, Vice President Mike Pence said Friday.

Karen teaches art two days a week at Immanuel Christian School in Fairfax, which will resume full-time, in-person learning, CNN reporter Betsy Klein tweeted.

“My wife’s going to be back in the classroom teaching next week,” Pence said.

The Pences’ daughter Charlotte also attended the K-8 school.

As the nation continues to grapple with the coronavirus crisis, the Trump administration has continuously pushed for schools to reopen for in-person instruction this fall.
