WASHINGTON – Support for Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court has plummeted to record lows in the wake of sexual assault allegations when he was a teenager.

New polling out Sunday from Fox News also shows more registered voters believe the alleged victim, Christine Blasey Ford (36 percent) over President Trump’s high court nominee (30 percent).

Another 34 percent of voters polled say they are unsure.

Blasey Ford, a professor from California, is expected to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee Thursday.

She alleges a teenage and drunken Kavanaugh attempted to rape her at a party in suburban Maryland in 1982.

Just 40 percent of registered voters surveyed from Sept. 16-19 believe Kavanaugh should be confirmed, while 50 percent oppose him — the lowest level of support for a Supreme Court nominee since Fox News started polling in 2005.

In August, before the sexual assault allegations were revealed publicly, the poll showed a nearly equal split between confirmation (45 percent) and opposition (46 percent).

Kavanaugh has vehemently denied the allegations of sexual misconduct.

Sunday’s polling tracks with other surveys released this week that found Kavanaugh’s support dropping.

The NBC/Wall Street Journal poll found more Americans oppose Kavanaugh’s confirmation (38 percent) than support him (34 percent).

He is the first Supreme Court nominee underwater in the NBC/WSJ poll, dating back to 2005.

Trump has stood behind Kavanaugh and cast doubt on the credibility of Blasey Ford’s allegations.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell also said he’d push through Kavanaugh’s nomination in the GOP-controlled Senate.

“We’re going to plow right through it and do our job,” McConnell said Friday.
