A flight attendant for Korean Air was diagnosed with coronavirus following a trip to Los Angeles, a report said Tuesday.

The employee was working on a flight from Incheon, South Korea to Los Angeles and may have spent some time in the city of Los Angeles before boarding a flight back to Korea, according to KABC-TV.

The person had also worked on a flight from Incheon to Tel Aviv.

It was not clear when exactly the flights took place.

Los Angeles County health officials were monitoring the situation and awaiting confirmation from the Centers for Disease Control.

The announcement came amid growing fears of a global coronavirus pandemic.

US stocks continued a massive sell-off Tuesday amid the anxiety over the increasing presence of the virus outside of China.

There have been more than 80,990 cases have reported across the globe — including 2,930 outside of mainland China — along with 2,760 deaths worldwide, according to public health data.
