Cleared Kenosha, Wisconsin, shooter Kyle Rittenhouse tweeted a photo Thursday night of himself dressed in a suit in front of the US Capitol and declared his political ambitions.
“T-minus 5 years until I call this place my office?” he wrote, followed by emojis of a flexed arm, an American flag, and a briefcase.
Rittenhouse has spun his newfound fame into media ventures. APRittenhouse, who last year was acquitted of all charges connected to a shooting that killed two people and injured a third during the 2020 riots in Kenosha, has been a budding figure in conservative politics since his trial.

Last month, he launched a YouTube channel centered around guns and Second Amendment rights, which has racked up more than 80,000 subscribers. In June, he unveiled a video game where players can shoot “fake news” turkeys, with the proceeds helping to fund his defamation lawsuits against media outlets.
