Lady Gaga canceled the rest of her nationwide tour yesterday in order to undergo hip surgery, including four upcoming shows in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
A statement posted on the superstar’s Web site said, “She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This, unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.”
Gaga was scheduled to play Madison Square Garden on February 22 and 23 and Brooklyn’s Barclays center on March 6 and 7.
Earlier in the week, Gaga tweeted, “It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this . . . love you and Im sorry. Ticket buyers will get refunds.”
