A Florida driver is going viral for cruising through Tropical Storm Eta floodwaters in a Lamborghini worth more than $200,000 — at one point getting almost completely submerged.
Seemingly testing the exotic manufacturer’s motto to “expect the unexpected,” the driver was filmed by WSVN News taking his bright yellow Huracán Spyder through flooded streets in Fort Lauderdale.
“Lamborghini or Submarine?” wrote one viewer who quickly racked up almost 350,000 views after sharing a clip on Twitter Sunday.
The aptly named Huracán Spyder is designed to “cut through the air and become one with the sky” — with the clip showing it also easily cuts through floodwaters, too, with the dirty water flowing over its roof. The starting price for a new one is $208,000.
Many joked that the driver was just trying to recreate the famous scene from 1977’s “The Spy Who Loved Me,” where James Bond drives a sports car-shaped custom-built submarine.
“In a perfect world, Sean Connery would have jumped out of that car,” reporter Scott Fallon said of the late 007 legend, while others joked that it must be the latest Bond prototype.

The clip was also shared on a Lamborghini chat room by someone who joked, “Coming to a used lot near you…”
