Los Angeles police released body-cam footage of an officer repeatedly punching a trespassing suspect during a profanity-laced arrest late last month.

The footage, which was described as “disturbing” Tuesday by LAPD Chief Michel Moore, shows an officer approaching a man who was reported to be trespassing in a vacant lot in the city’s Boyle Heights section on April 27.

Footage of the encounter surfaced online last week, prompting outrage and calls for the cop to face charges or disciplinary measures.

“I, along with many of you, watched the third-party video that was released last week and I have serious concerns,” Moore said in a 17-minute, narrated account of the arrest. “Any use of force, justified or not, is difficult to watch but this one is disturbing.”

The newly released video shows the officer — who has not been identified by the department — ordering the suspect to turn around after following him through the vacant lot.

“You don’t f–king scare me, f—-t,” the suspect tells the officer, video shows.

“Turn around,” the officer replies, prompting the man to ask why.

“Ain’t nobody acting defiant,” the suspect then says. “Ain’t nobody getting crazy but you.”

The cop then calls for backup while again ordering the suspect to put his hands behind his back to be handcuffed, video shows.

The officer’s body-worn cam is then knocked to the ground before he appears to repeatedly punch the suspect as his female partner calls for backup.

“Come on, motherf—-r!” the officer tells the suspect, warning that if he continues to not cooperate he would punch him again.

“You’re going to get hit again,” the cop says.

The footage, that surfaced on Twitter last week, shows the officer appearing to punch the man roughly 15 times while shouting a series of profanities.

Two law enforcement sources, meanwhile, have identified the officer involved in the incident as Frank Hernandez, a 20-year LAPD veteran who has been involved in previous controversial shootings while on-duty, the Los Angeles Times reports.

The officer has since been stripped of his police powers while assigned to home pending the outcome of an internal probe, Moore said.

“However, one video does not tell the whole story and I will not pass judgment on this case until all the evidence is collected, witnesses are interviewed and the investigation is complete,” Moore said.

The suspect, who is homeless, had minor injuries but refused medical attention at the scene. He was not charged with a crime, the Los Angeles Times reports.
