A leftist gun club with ties to past anti-ICE violence posted an alarming recruitment flyer at Georgetown University, just days after Charlie Kirk was assassinated on another college campus.

“Hey fascist! Catch!” read a flyer from the John Brown Gun Club, which recently appeared on a notice board at the DC school.

That’s the same phrase accused assassin Tyler Robinson wrote on the bullet that killed Turning Point USA founder Kirk on Sept. 10 — but the Georgetown flyer took things one step further.

“The only political group that celebrates when Nazis die,” it added, including a QR code that linked to a webpage apparently connected to the radical club.

“We’re building a community that’s done with ceremonial resistance and strongly worded letters. If you want to make a real change in your community, let us know below,” the page read, according to Fox News.

The John Brown Gun Club — its name a nod to the infamous Civil War era abolitionist who believed violent uprising was required to overthrow slavery — is labeled a “far-left group” by the likes of the Center for Counter Extremism.

There are numerous branches of the group across the country, and the group is generally opposed to the abolishment of the police and forms of law enforcement it considers systemic oppressors.

The John Brown Club has a history of showing up at left-wing events and protests armed with guns — and some suspected members were even arrested in July after allegedly launching firing works at a Texas ICE detention center, then firing a volley of bullets at workers and police.

The poster — which was flagged online Wednesday by TPUSA spokesperson Andrew Kolvert — left campus conservatives alarmed by the apparent call to spread the kind of violence that killed Kirk, a 31-year-old father of two.

“Obviously, I read this immediately as a threat, not only for me but for everyone on this campus,” Shae McInnis, a Georgetown sophomore and treasurer of the school’s College Republicans Club, told Fox.

“Every conservative, everyone who just does not subscribe to the prevailing leftist orthodoxy. This is a direct threat against them,” he added. “It means that there are students at this campus who want to see conservatives dead rather than engaging with their ideas, rather than facilitating a political discourse.”

It remains unclear who posted the flyer, and whether they are a student, faculty, or somebody who slipped onto campus.

Georgetown condemned the flyer and had it taken down.

“Georgetown University has no tolerance for calls for violence or threats to the university,” it said in a statement. “The flyers have been removed, and the university is investigating this incident and working to ensure the safety of our community.”

But McInnis says campus conservatives remain unsettled.

“We’re totally comfortable with the fact that many people disagree with us, and that’s what a university is supposed to do,” he said. “It’s supposed to sharpen ideas based on what people disagree with.”

“But it’s not until I saw this poster early this morning that I ever felt directly threatened. I mean, this poster is directly calling for the death of conservatives on this campus.”
