Sen. Lindsey Graham has tested negative for the coronavirus, he announced Sunday night.
“I was just informed by Dr. Moynihan, the head of the House Physicians Office, that my coronavirus test was NEGATIVE,” the South Carolina Repubican said in a tweet.
Graham had been under self-quarantine since Thursday after learning that Fabio Wajngarten, a spokesman for Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, tested positive for the virus.
Wajngarten, Bolsonaro and Graham had all been visiting President Trump at Mar-a-Lago the weekend before, though the senator had said he had “no recollection of direct contact” with either of them.
Bolsonaro’s first coronavirus test came back negative, but he will be retested this week.
Graham on Sunday night said that moving forward he will “follow the best practices to stay negative.”
