'I lost a piece of myself': Heard tells the jury of abuse

The actress said “a piece of my self-confidence” was taken by Depp’s alleged abuse “for every single time I went back or allowed him back.”
“It was easier to stay,” Heard added. “I didn’t want to stay in the violence, I wanted to stay in the good Johnny that I loved.”
She said Depp claimed he would get sober again after a particularly brutal Dec. 15, 2015, fight.
“I just decided to believe him,” she said. “This time was the last time because it couldn’t be worse than this, right?”
Court wrapped a little after 5:30 p.m. after Amber Heard’s day-long testimony.The trial will be on break from Friday through May 16, when Heard will be back on the stand.
