Squeaky-clean rap legend LL Cool J made a surprise appearance in Queens Supreme Court yesterday, racing to the aid of a friend who was arrested following a Labor Day clash with a tow-truck driver.

The hip-hop star sat coolly through the arraignment of his pal Brian Daughtry.

Daughtry was released without bail after pleading not guilty to menacing.

Police said Daughtry threatened driver Christopher Miller with a boxcutter shortly before midnight Monday.

Defense lawyer Michael Dowd said Daughtry was unloading back-to-school clothes from his car outside his condo when Miller tried to tow his vehicle. Dowd said his client wasn’t armed.
