Video shows a London Underground platform and train bustling with people Friday morning — despite Mayor Sadiq Khan’s pleas that riders stay home.

“Well, this social distance isn’t working wonders,” wrote Twitter user @soveryjessx, who posted the footage.

In the video, riders are standing barely feet apart on the platform — while the train cars appear to be standing-room-only.

A person in the video can be heard saying, “The train is packed.”

Transport for London shuttered 40 stations yesterday, on Khan’s orders, and plans to run reduced service starting Monday, the Guardian reported.

“People should not be traveling, by any means, unless they really, really have to,” Khan said Thursday.

On March 19, the UK’s Department of Health and Social Care said 3,269 people had tested positive for the novel coronavirus nationwide, and 144 had died from the virus.
