It’s never too early.

Long Island Congressman Peter King has become the first Republican to announce a run for president three years from now, in 2016.

King, on a visit to New Hampshire, told a local radio station on Friday that he came to the state because “right now I’m running for president.’’

New Hampshire is famous for holding an early primary.
