The body of a “murdered” man was found in a parking lot near a posh Long Island yacht club, Suffolk County police said Tuesday.

Christopher Millwater, 52, was found steps away from the Stony Brook Yacht club on Monday at around 3:40 a.m., according to police.

Millwater had been the “victim of violence,” cops said though they didn’t elaborate.

He was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Residents of the upper-class suburb were left shocked after learning of the police’s gruesome discovery. 

“That doesn’t happen around here,” Christian Kollar told News 12 Long Island.

“There’s hardly any crime or violence. That’s why I moved here. So it’s very surprising and shocking.”

The parking lot where Millwater’s body was found is reportedly used for several marinas in the ritzy North Shore suburb, as well as for parking for the town of Brookhaven boat ramp at Stony Brook.

Homicide detectives spent all of Monday investigating near the yacht club, appearing to focus their attention on a Porsche parked near where the body was found, News 12 reported. 

It’s unclear whether Millwater, who lived in Selden, was a member of the yacht club. 

Public records show he only previously owned two small boats in the 1990s, but doesn’t have any yachts registered under his name. 

Representatives from the Stony Brook Yacht Club did not respond to The Post’s request for comment. 

Police said no one had been arrested Tuesday and declined to provide further details.
