A sicko sexually assaulted an elderly woman in her bedroom after breaking into her Long Island home during an “unspeakable” cat burglary, police said Wednesday.

Jawarren Booker, 29, allegedly climbed through the bedroom window of the 74-year-old victim’s apartment in Holbrook between 6 and 7 a.m. Oct. 24 and attacked her when she came to check on the commotion, prosecutors said in court.

“Certain crimes shock the conscience and cause you to question your faith in humanity, and unfortunately last Friday, one of those crimes occurred,” Suffolk County police Commissioner Kevin Catalina told reporters Wednesday.

After the horrifying attack, Booker fled the apartment complex and the victim managed to muster enough strength to get to the phone and call 911 — and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, authorities said.

Cops traced the crime to Booker from fingerprints he left on a makeup bottle he touched in the bedroom, prosecutors said. Police also found a soda can in the apartment complex that contained the suspect’s DNA, according to prosecutors.

A short, extensive, and “sleepless” investigation by Suffolk detectives identified Booker as the alleged culprit, who had been hiding out in the Bronx after the rape, and took him into custody Tuesday.

“This a crime that is really unspeakable — Mr. Booker is a poor excuse for a human being, ” Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine told reporters.

Romaine called Booker’s alleged attack on the elderly woman “unconscionable,” and said his heinous actions will not be tolerated.

“To the victim in this case, on behalf of the entire Suffolk police department, I want to say how sorry we are for what you had to endure and thank you for your strength and courage,” Catalina added.

Booker was arraigned Wednesday on first-degree rape and burglary charges and was ordered held at Suffolk County jail.
