After the flames were extinguished, police found a man dead inside, according to cops.

The man has not been identified, but the grisly discovery prompted the investigation.

Police said the county medical examiner will perform an autopsy to confirm the victim’s identity.

Despite the homicide and arson probe, Suffolk County police said the cause of the blaze is currently believed to be “non-criminal in nature,” the department said.
