Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead, and now names connected to his murderous regime will be too — on the streets of Madrid.

Lawmakers in the Spanish capital announced Tuesday they’ll rename 30 streets in Madrid that now pay tribute to Franco and his henchmen.

Among the major streets now slated for a name change include Calle General Yagüe, Avenida General Fanjul and Pasaje General Mola.

The left-leaning city government of Madrid has sought for years to erase mentions of Franco and that dark period of Spanish history.

Franco ruled Spain with an iron fist from 1939 until his death in 1975. He seized power during a brutal civil war that ousted the democratically elected government.

The dictator died on Nov. 20, 1975, after a long illness, which led to weeks of ridiculous news updates on his never-improving health.
