​Republican Rep. Nicole​ Malliotakis has a 6 percentage-point edge over Democratic challenger Max Rose in a House district that comprises Staten Island and parts of south Brooklyn, according to a poll released Thursday.

Malliotakis leads Rose 49% to 43% in a rematch of their 2020 race in which she knocked off Rose, then the incumbent, by slightly more than 6 points, a Spectrum News/Siena College poll found.

The survey found that Malliotakis, running in a district that former President Donald Trump won by 10 points in 2020, is getting a boost from independent voters and a smidgen of Democrats who are crossing party lines.

It showed that 62% of independents back Malliotakis, compared to the 25% who support Rose, but 20% of Democrats said they would vote for her if the election were held today.

Rose still gets the bulk of support from Democrats — 74%, the survey shows.

“Rose obviously is winning Democrats, winning them big, but I would argue perhaps not winning them back enough,” Siena College pollster Steven Greenberg told NY1.

The poll, which surveyed likely voters in the 11th Congressional District, also found that Republican Rep. Lee Zeldin has a 4 percentage-point lead over incumbent Gov. Kathy Hochul, 46% to 42% in that Staten Island-souther Brooklyn district.

A majority of voters in the district, 67%, believe the country is on the wrong track and give President Biden a 58% to 39% unfavorable rating.

Trump has a 49% to 45% unfavorable rating.

They also say their top concern going into the November midterm elections is the economy (65%), crime (42%), threats to democracy (24%), health care (17%) and abortion (16%).

Another Spectrum News/Siena College poll shows that Democratic House candidate Josh Riley leads Republican Marc Molinaro 46% to 41% in the highly contested race in upstate New York’s 19th Congressional District.​

Riley ​is drawing more support from independents (46% to 40%) than Molinaro, a Dutchess County executive and 2018 Republican gubernatorial candidate.

Riley leads in a district in which voters have a 51% unfavorable view of Biden and Zeldin has a 1-point advantage over Hochul — 46% to 45%.

Fifty-nine percent of voters in the district say the country is headed in the wrong direction.

And similar to respondents to the 11th District poll, they say economic issues are on the top of their mind, although by lower percentages.

They say their top concerns are the economy (52%), threats to democracy (31%) and abortion (28%).

The 11th District poll surveyed 451 likely voters between Sept. 27 and 30.

It has a plus/minus 5.2 percentage-point margin of error.

The 19th District poll surveyed 470 likely voters between Sept. 25 and 28.

It has a plus/minus 5 percentage-point margin of error.
