A Colorado man is accused of using twisted tactics, including sending suicidal images, to coerce girls into an online “harem.”

Zachary Myers, 23, appeared in court Tuesday after reportedly pressuring young girls, ages 12 to 15, into sending him sexually explicit images by threatening to kill himself, the Denver Post reported.

“[He had a] plan to create a harem for himself of children on the internet that he could exploit,” Weld Deputy District Attorney Arynn Clark told the courtroom. “Eight children. He wanted his harem and he went hunting, and he found young girls and he exploited them.”

Myers faces charges in multiple jurisdictions across the country but is currently on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in November 2015 at his Evans home.

Prosecutors said he reportedly lured the girl to a local park, then took her back to his house, where he sexually and physically assaulted her.

The girl told authorities he later manipulated her into having a relationship by telling her he would commit suicide on her front porch if she didn’t agree.

Instead, she called police and Myers was arrested in March 2016, the Greely Tribune reported.

“She made a decision that changed a lot of lives,” Clark said.

Authorities investigating the case learned that Myers appeared to have multiple victims and would use similar tactics.

Other girls said he would send them photos of his arms slashed or a gun in his mouth, claiming that he would take his own life if they didn’t send him nude photos, according to police.

Myers’ trial is scheduled to run through April 25.
