Police have reportedly identified a Michigan couple’s son-in-law as a suspect in their beating deaths.

Nathan Board, 33, was arrested Wednesday after his estranged wife’s parents, Theodore and Patty Syrek, were found murdered in their bedroom in Caledonia, MLive reported.

Board — who was in the process of divorcing his wife — hasn’t been formally charged in the slayings.

Officials said that 66-year-old Theodore Syrek and 63-year-old Patty Syrek died of blunt-force head trauma.

Investigators were driving Board to the sheriff’s department for questioning when he told them he was going to vomit. The officers reportedly let him out of the car, but he ran from them into traffic.

He then allegedly punched one of the officers in the head as they tried to arrest him.

Board was charged Thursday in connection to the incident with assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer.

Authorities said they plan to meet with prosecutors Friday about charges related to the murders.
