A man reportedly was arrested Tuesday for the murder of a Binghamton University student who was discovered dead in his off-campus home last week.

Orlando Tercero was apprehended in his native Nicaragua, where he fled after allegedly killing 22-year-old Haley Anderson, according to WABC-TV.

Nicaragua National Police told the network that Tercero was being transferred to the prison in El Chipote, about 40 miles southwest of the capital, Managua.

Anderson’s body was discovered decomposing in Tercero’s bed last Friday.

The two had dated and a friend described Tercero and “obsessive and crazy.”
