A plane passenger’s attempt to bring an unassembled grenade launcher onto a flight Monday was shot down by TSA officials, the agency said.

The man – identified only as being from St. Augustine, Florida – was reportedly trying to board an Orlando-bound flight at Lehigh Valley Airport in Allentown, Pennsylvania, when his checked bag set off an alarm.

Upon further inspection of the bag, agents found an unassembled “military-grade rocket-propelled grenade launcher,” the TSA told WLSAM.com.

The bag also contained a replica grenade. The man told agents he thought he’d be allowed to travel with the weapon because it wasn’t functional and the grenade was fake, NBC reported.

TSA agents confiscated the fake RPG launcher and the man was allowed to board his flight.
