A Florida man told cops he tossed firecrackers under a sleeping 9-year-old girl’s bed in a brainless “prank gone wrong” — but the little girl burst into tears and couldn’t stop shaking, according to cops who arrested the unfunny jerk.

Matthew Morrison, 44, of Crestview, is accused of slipping into the child’s house and lighting a string of the explosives, prompting the homeowner to chase him away with a stick, the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office said on its Facebook page.

Morrison, who lives in a tent near the girl, was charged with burglary and child cruelty for the trick, cops said in the post.

Police allegedly also found him carrying 2 grams of methamphetamine.
