A drug-runner from Colombia was caught smuggling a bag of rare, pink-colored meth into New York, prosecutors said.
David Urrego Arteaga was indicted Monday in Brooklyn Federal Court on drug trafficking charges after he allegedly tried to bring at least 70 grams of pink meth through the JFK Airport on April 1 after taking off from Rio Negro, Colombia.

Getty ImagesPink meth, sometimes referred to as “Strawberry Quick Meth,” can indicate that cold medications with red coatings, or even sidewalk chalk, were used in the manufacturing process, according to a 2008 National Institute of Drug Abuse study.
Meanwhile, red meth was seized by DEA agents in Arizona late last year, Fox 10 reported.
