An unhinged fiend has been indicted on federal charges after he allegedly kicked a straphanger’s 2-year-old toddler down the of a Washington, DC Metro station — leaving the little boy with terrible injuries.

In the stunning unprovoked assault, William Woodson, 26, allegedly booted the tot from behind as he and his mom descended an escalator at the Mount Vernon Square station on July 24, 2023, according to prosecutors.

The boy was left bleeding from the head and lost consciousness as he was rushed to a hospital, the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Washington, DC said.

Woodson — who fled the station after the attack, but was soon arrested nearby — was hit with federal charges, including first-degree child cruelty and assault Wednesday.

Woodson’s mental health had delayed the criminal proceedings for months, according to court documents cited by wusa9.com.

The toddler, who was not named by officials, ultimately suffered a mild concussion and was released from the hospital after roughly 12 hours.

Woodson is currently being held behind bars.
