A man was convicted of murdering his pal who took him to an Atlanta strip club to celebrate his release from prison, prosecutors announced Tuesday.
David Robinson, 34, was sentenced to life in prison for fatally shooting Jala Ross-Beyah in the parking lot of Peaches of Atlanta strip club where they were toasting the conclusion of Robinson’s prison stint on Oct. 14, 2017, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
He had served eight years for an armed robbery.
Robinson took Ross-Beyah’s handgun and shot him twice, instantly killing him, according to Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard.
It’s unclear what led to the fatal shooting, Howard said.
Robinson’s sentence also precludes him from being eligible for parole.
