It’s death by pug.

A man died in England after being dragged into traffic by his “pug-like” pooch.

The man, in his 60s, suffered head injuries when he was hit by a car in Essex Monday night, but managed to walk away after speaking with the driver, according to The Telegraph.

But he eventually checked into a hospital, where he later died, according to local police.

“A man has sadly died following this incident and I’m appealing to the woman driving the car to urgently get in contact with us so we can find out what happened,” Detective Sergeant Dave Jones told The Telegraph.

The dog, who was not named, survived the accident.
