A jury in Texas sent quite the message to a creep who admitted sexually assaulting his adopted daughter years after being told she had been molested as a toddler: a prison term stretching into the 22nd century.

Jurors in Upshur County took less than 30 minutes Thursday to hand down four consecutive life sentences plus 20 years to Mark Randall Beasley, 59, who previously pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, the Longview News-Journal reports.

The sentences will run consecutively, according to the newspaper.

Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd said testimony in the case on Thursday revealed that the girl was about 2 or 3 years old when she lived with her biological mother. The woman sold the girl and allowed her to be photographed and molested during that time throughout Gregg County, Byrd said.

The girl was later removed from her mother’s custody by Child Protective Services and was placed in the care of Beasley and his wife, Byrd said. The couple was later awarded custody of the girl in early 2014.

Byrd said Beasley and his wife were specifically told that the girl had been sexually victimized in the past.

About three years later, in June 2017, Beasley then began sexually abusing the girl when she was about 8 years old. In all, Bealsey molested the girl on more than 20 occasions between June 2017 and January, Byrd said.

Beasley “partially confessed” to sexually assaulting the girl, Byrd said.
