“Man of Steel” leaped to the top of the movie box office in a single bound.

The Superman reboot earned $125 million domestically in its opening weekend, according to studio estimates yesterday.

It made an additional $71.6 million overseas.

The apocalyptic comedy “This Is the End” was a distant second, with $20.5 million in its opening weekend.

“Now You See Me” finished third, with $10.3 million.
