A North Dakota man pleaded guilty in a “womb raider” plot to kill his pregnant neighbor whose body was found in a river, according to reports.

William Hoehn, of Fargo, entered a guilty plea Tuesday to charges of kidnapping and providing false information to law enforcement in the August 2017 death of Savanna LaFontaine-Greywind, news station KVRR reported.

Hoehn, 32, is still scheduled for trial Sept. 18 on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.

Prosecutors allege that he helped his girlfriend, Brooke Crews, kill LaFontaine-Greywind, who was eight months pregnant, so they could keep her baby. Crews, 38, allegedly used a knife to remove the baby from the 22-year-old while she was still alive.

The baby girl, who survived, was found inside the couple’s apartment after LaFontaine-Greywind was reported missing, according to officials.

Crews was sentenced to life in prison in February after pleading guilty to the slain neighbor’s kidnapping and murder.
