SEATTLE — Authorities say a man was shot several times at a track meet in West Seattle.

The Seattle Police Department said on Twitter Tuesday evening that officers were called to the scene and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say he was rushed to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

KOMO-TV reports police were in the stadium area where people had gathered for a track meet.

No further information was immediately released.
