A Missouri man was busted by cops for threatening to shoot up a gay pride parade next weekend in St. Louis, according to court documents.
Edward Terry of the St. Louis suburb of Overland created a fake email account to threaten one of the parade planners, prosecutors alleged in charging documents Tuesday.
Terry, 49, wrote he would “come to pride fest with my guns to kill every gay person I can before I kill myself,” according to the documents.
The parade organizer alerted the FBI, which tracked the email to Terry’s cellphone number, authorities said.
Terry told cops he used the name of a woman he previously lived with to create the email account, the court documents say.

The vice president of PrideFest, the organization that sponsors the June 29-30 event, said in a statement that they work “hard to produce an event that is safe for all participants.”
“PrideFest takes all threats seriously and works with local law enforcement,” Marty Zuniga said.
