The man who randomly knifed a Washington, DC woman to death while she was out on a run near her home last September was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Friday, a report said.

Anthony Crawford, 24, pleaded guilty in June to stabbing 35-year-old Wendy Martinez to death while she was out on a jog near Logan Circle in the Northwest section of the city.

A judge sentenced Crawford to 30 years for the killing on Friday, NBC News reported.

Martinez, who had recently become engaged to be married, stumbled into a restaurant after the knifing and collapsed, police said at the time.

Surveillance video from the scene shows the tech worker bleeding from the neck inside the restaurant and pleading with people for help.

DC Police Chief Peter Newsham said after the slaying that it was a shocking crime rare in the city — especially in the Logan Circle neighborhood.

“This is a very isolated instance,” he said. “You don’t see crimes like this, even in the course of my career.”
