A Florida man who let himself be filmed for a medical documentary about his facial-reconstruction surgery 20 years ago was shocked when a friend told him his scarred face had been viewed more than 60,000 times on YouTube.
Steven Banasiak, now 35, went to Manhattan plastic surgeon Paul Striker in 1994 for silicon treatments to help heal a scar from an inline-skating accident.
Banasiak agreed to be filmed by an Australian TV crew for a documentary that he was told would air once.
His demands that the clip be taken down have been ignored, according to court papers.
He’s suing Striker and the silicon company Rejuveness for an unspecified amount.
