The death toll from Hurricane Maria climbed to at least 19 Thursday, as the monster storm continued lashing the coast of the Dominican Republic.

One man perished aboard a boat that capsized near Vieques, Puerto Rico, authorities said.

A mom and her two children were rescued from the overturned vessel Thursday afternoon, but the man’s body couldn’t be retrieved, according to the US Coast Guard.

Another man was killed in Puerto Rico by a piece of flying lumber, Gov. Ricardo Rossello told CNN.

He called Maria — which made landfall on the US territory Wednesday morning as a Category 4 hurricane — the “most devastating storm to hit the island this century, if not in modern history.”

“It’s nothing short of a major disaster,” Rossello said.

President Trump said Puerto Rico was “absolutely obliterated.”

“Their electrical grid is destroyed,” he said. “It wasn’t in good shape to start off with. But their electrical grid is totally destroyed. And so many other things.”

At least 15 people died on the small island of Dominica, which also suffered devastating damage. Two others were killed on the French island of Guadeloupe.

Meanwhile, in the US Virgin Islands, Gov. Kenneth Mapp announced a 24-hour curfew Thursday. Maria passed the islands as a Category 5 storm, destroying homes and knocking out power lines on St. Croix.

“Your presence on the roads during the curfew hours will only hamper clean-up efforts, and could delay the distribution of critically needed supplies,” the governor said in a statement.

Austin Fields, a retired NYPD detective, said his home on St. Thomas was hit hard by the powerful hurricane.

“My home is no longer a home,” he told CNN.

Hurricane Maria is currently moving past the northern coast of the Dominican Republic with 115-mph winds, and will move “near or just east” of the Turks and Caicos Islands tonight.
