A Maserati driver fatally mowed down an 80-year-old man and his dog in Sherman Oaks before ditching the smashed-up sports car, according to cops and media reports.

The tragedy occurred around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday as the victim and his pooch were taking a late-night walk on the 4400 block of Woodman Avenue, ABC 7 reported.

It’s not clear whether the pair were crossing the street or whether the sports car hopped the curb when it struck them.

Cops told The California Post that the driver fled immediately.

The elderly man was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the LAPD said. His dog was found dead beneath a nearby parked car, ABC 7 reported.

The banged-up Maserati was found parked several blocks away. It had significant front-end damage and was missing both of its license plates, the outlet said.

No arrests have been made.
