Chicago has lost its famous beacon, and it’s creeping out Second City residents.

The famed “Sears Tower” suffered a blackout Sunday after massive flooding caused a power outage in the high-rise — with many Chicagoans suddenly seeing an ominous face staring down at them, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

“The power went out @Sears Tower and now it looks like some GD robot about to wreak havoc upon Chicago, and honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if that actually happened,” one resident posted on Twitter.

“I’ll never get this image of the disappointed sears tower out of my head,” another tweeted.

The 110-story, 1,450-foot-tall building, which is officially called the Willis Tower, went dark Sunday after massive rainfall in the city flooded out the basement and sparked the outage, the Sun-Times reported. Completed in 1973, it topped New York’s World Trade Center to become the world’s tallest building at the time.

Power remained out as of Wednesday morning.
